AMBIACVA Summer School

 

The AMBIACVA Summer School "Highlighting environmental and biotic changes in old and current aquatic systems" took place in the UNESCO International Geopark Buzău County, between 14-18 May 2024, in Berca. During the three days of activities, both field campaigns were carried out in various points of interest in the Buzăului Geopark, for the presentation of geological and geo-ecological aspects, as well as a series of scientific communications that took place at the conference hall. Several experienced researchers from INCD GeoEcoMar also participated in this event. In addition to the senior researchers, students from the Faculty of Geology and Geophysics, University of Bucharest, master's students and also from the doctoral school of Geology in Bucharest have participated.

BLUE GROWTH: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE BLACK SEA

1st International Joint Conference (organized under the auspices of the National Commission of Romania for UNESCO)

Constanta, 26-28th October, 2022 Black Sea.

 

The purpose of the Conference is to contribute to the protection of the Black Sea, by supporting sustainable development in a multidisciplinary way. The conference will provide a space for fruitful discussions, including issues related to both fundamental research and technological innovations, among scientists as well as companies involved in research and development.

Within this project, INCD GeoEcoMar organized the International Symposium "Ancient and Present River-Delta-Sea Systems modifications under impacts of Human Interventions and Climate Change". This scientific event also coincided with the 30th anniversary of the National Research-Development Institute for Marine Geology and Geoecology – GeoEcoMar. The conference took place between October 17-18, 2023 in Bucharest, in the "I. Heliade Rădulescu" of the Romanian Academy library and brought together over 150 researchers from the country and abroad (France, Great Britain, Turkey, Italy and Greece). The funds allocated from this project were used for the organization of the conference, the writing of the program, the volume of abstracts, as well as for the publication of the conference volume (publication with ISBN)

 

AMBIACVA SUMMER SCHOOL

In May 14-17, 2023, a summer school was organized in Jurilovca within the AMBIACVA project, with the main theme highlighting environmental and biotic changes in old and current aquatic systems.

 

The program of this meeting consisted in three days of activities that such as field trips to various points of interest in the north of Dobrogea, but also in boat trips on Danube Delta lakes and channels.

 

A number of experienced scientific researchers from INCD GeoEcoMar and INCD Grigore Antipa participated in this event. Students from the Faculty of Geology and Geophysics from Bucharest, from the Doctoral School of Geology from Bucharest, and two students from the Faculty of Biology and Geosciences, from the State University of Moldova, also participated.
